The Pinnacle Peak area offers some of the best valley views, influenced by the McDowell, Pinnacle, and Troon Mountains. This low-density neighborhood is primarily made up of custom single-family homes in small to medium-sized subdivisions. Pinnacle Peak straddles Pima Road and extends West to Scottsdale Road.
About two-thirds of these subdivisions feature public streets and no perimeter walls, while the other third are gated with perimeter walls. The area's 2 focal points are the cluster of businesses at Pinnacle Peak and Pima Roads, and Pinnacle Peak and Scottsdale Roads.
Design styles vary, with many homes featuring Mediterranean or Mission influences, while others reflect Santa Fe or Pueblo styles. The most recently built homes tend to be contemporary with large garages. Older neighborhoods tend to have Eucalyptus, Pine, and Olive trees, while newer developments typically embrace native desert landscaping.
